With a view to provide self employment, knowledge and job oriented course to the rural youth the

Kittur Rani Cahnnamma Society has started BBA College in Baiihongal. The Government of Karnataka

and Karnatak University Dharwad have permitted the society to start BBA College in the year 1998.

The college has completed its 10 academic years and its 8th batch has come out in the year 2008

with best results..

The college is situated by the side of main road connecting Belgaum" road: just two kilometers away

from bus stand on western side. The college campus has pleasant atmosphere for study purpose.

The credit of starting this college goes to Shri. S H. Koujalagi, the former Chairman of the KRCE

Society and late Shri. S. G. Gadataranavar, the then secretary of the society, the governing body

members of the KRCE Society have made equai efforts to establish the college.

it is a matter of pride to convey that the College has well equipped computer laboratory specially

provided for BBA students only and a well established library providing good books facility and

magazines for the students. At present there are,2jcomputers with LAN connection and latest

softwares in the laboratory. Recently internet connection is being provided to the students. There are

about S09 books in the library specially concerned with management subjects for BBA Degree. The

recent management teaching aids like CD ROMS and Over Head Projector are being used to teach

students. Now the society and College expect that the rural youth should take use of all these

facilities and succeed in the competitive world.

ABOUT THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE COLLEGE

The KRCE Society's governing body members under the joint assistance of Principal and the staff

members of the college manage the whole affairs of the BBA College. The main personalities who

are devoting themselves for the all-round developnment and updating of the college are

1. The Chairman:

Dr. V. I.Patil, who is member of the wellknown Aravalli Patil family famous for its social work, is the

Chairman of the college. Besides being a well known doctor, he is also managing many educational

Institutions and Co-operative Societies. He is the chairman of ishaprabhu Co-op. society and also

running educational institutions at Belvadi.

2. The Secretary :

Shri Mahantesh Kaujalagi Ex M.L.A. of Bailhongal (s/o. Shri S. H. Kaujalagi, Ex. M.P., Ex. Minister)

and renowned social worker is the secretary of our society.

Shri. V. D. Dehnur is also holding the position of Secretaryship He comes from a famous Deshnur

family known for social work. They are reputed cotton merchants and also having petrol bunk

business at Bailhonal. His family has donated a huge amount to our society and the Arts college is

named after them.

3. The Treasurer

Shri. M. V. Wall is the treasurer of the society. His family is known for social work. He is also a

cotton merchant and a well known farmer. A polite and enthusiastic person rendering social service

to our society in many dimensions.
