With a view to provide self employment, knowledge and job oriented course to the rural youth the

Kittur Rani Channamma Education Society has started BCA College in Bailhongal. The Government of

Karnataka and Karnatak University Dharwad have permitted the society to start BCA college in the

year 2007.

The College is situated by the side of main road connecting Belgaum road just 2 kms away from bus

stand on western side. The college campus has pleasant atmosphere for study purpose. The credit

of starting this College goes to Dr.V.S.Sadhunavar, the former Chairman of KRCE Society and Dr.

V.I.Patil, the present Chairman of the Society. The Governing body members of the KRCE Society

have made equal efforts to establish the College.

It is a matter of pride to convey that the College has well equipped computer laboratory specially

provided for BCA students only and a well established library providing good book facility and

magazines for the students. At present there arc 25 computers with LAN connection, internet and

latest software's in the laboratory. The teaching aids like LCD and Over Head Projectors are being

used to students. Now the Society and College expect that the rural youth should take use of ail

these facilities and succeed in the competitive world.

ABOUT THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE COLLEGE

The KRCE Society's governing body members under the joint assistance of Principal and the Staff

members of the college manage the whole affairs of the BCA College. The main personalities who

are devoting themselves for the all-round development of the college are

1. The Chairman

Dr.V.LPatil , who is member of the well known Aravalli Rati! family, famous for its social work, is the

Chairman of the Society. Besides being a well known doctor, he is also managing many educational

Institutions and cooperative societys. He is the Chairman of Ishaprabhu Co-op. Society and also

running educational institutions at Belavadi.

2. The Secretary:

Shri. Mahantesh Koujalagi Ex M.L.A. of Bailhongal (S/oShri.S.H.Koujalagi, Ex. M.P., Ex. Minister) and

renowned social worker is the secretary of our Society.

Shri. V.D.Deshnur is also holding the position of secretary ship. He comes from a famous Deshnur

family known for social work. They are reputed cotton merchants and also having petrol bunk

business at Bailhongal. His family has donated a huge amount to our society and the Arts college is

named after them.

3. The Treasurer

Shri.M.V.Wali is the treasurer of the Society. His family is known for social work. He is also a cotton

merchant and a well known farmer. A poiite and enthusiastic person rendering social service to our

society in many dimensions.

ABOUT BCA SUB COMMHTTEE

In order to function smoothly and to build rapport with the College management the sub-committee

have been formed consisting of a Chairman and members out of governing body team. The sub-

committee for BCA is as follows:

1. The Chairman : Shri. B.C. Harakuni, the director of KRCE Society is the Chairman of BCA sub

committee. He hails from well known Harakuni family. He is ac: . 2 advisor for the course and

reputed businessman of Bailhongal.

2. The members of Sub-committee

Shri.S.C.Patil son of Shri.C.M.Patil a leading advocate and founder member of K.R.C.E.Society is the

active member of sub-committee. He in spite of being director of our society, is also Chairman of

T.A.P.C.M. Bailhongai and also associated with many social work.

3. Shri. Sunil Patil is the director of K.R.C.E. Society and also social worker and

Director of Kittur Rani Channamma Co-op., society Bailhongal

Apart from this both the secretaries namely Shri.M.S.Koujalagi and Shri.V.D.Deshnur are the

members of the sub-Committee.
